- Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Participates in curriculum development and revision
- Supervises and coordinates field experiences and/or internships
- Serves as a resource for other Faculty members and other program areas
- Serves on School, Campus and College committees
- Plans and organizes instructional materials to meet course objective
- Participates in a variety of Departmental, Campus and College-wide programs, activities and committees and develops curricula
- Prepares and submits student information to Department Chairperson
- Evaluates students and performs career and academic advising
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Masters degree in Criminal Justice or field related to the course content; or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice or related field
- Ability to function well in a technological environment that includes using classroom and office multimedia resources
- Ability to demonstrate effective use of active learning and problem solving techniques
- Possess sound knowledge of teaching principles, remain current in research of the discipline and demonstrate knowledge of National and State Standards
- Possess excellent communication skills and ablity to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Possess excellent organizational and human relations skills
- Doctoral stipend awarded in addition to base salary, as applicable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
- Start date for this Faculty position is anticipated beginning Spring Semester 2020
