The Center for Theoretical Biological Physics is actively recruiting recent quantitative science (physics, mathematics, chemistry, etc.) Ph.D. graduates for postdoctoral positions beginning January 1, 2020. We are looking to fill at least one position with postdoctoral candidates well-versed in quantitative science, but also very interested in learning and tackling research problems in the realm of biology and medicine.

Job Duty NameScientific ResearchDescription of Job Duty

Identify problem or issue of importance in the functioning of living systems and identify possible mechanisms underlying the function. Create physical science-based models to quantitatively investigate these models. Research will require the ability to glean information and data from biology literature, while being able to use analytical and computational skills to derive and formulate model results to be compared to that literature. Examples include, molecular biophysics, information processing and signaling networks, self-organization at the cellular and multi-cellular scales, as well as evolution and ecological dynamics. Write about your research and work in papers to be published in leading scientific journals and discussed at leading conferences.
