Nature of WorkThisposition will assist the Sr. Financial Manager/Research Administrator with financial,human resources, and research administration and management responsibilities withinthe Trauma, Health & Hazards Center (THHC) and the Veterans Health andTrauma Clinic (VHTC), which is a part of the THHC. The THHC conducts research on mental health,disasters, first responders support, secondary trauma and trauma recovery. Examples of WorkPerformed

- Supportand coordination of grant, gift, and contract submissions
- Post-awardresearch administration, including monitoring grant scope compliance
- Sponsoredprograms budget and subawards management
- Procurementas it relates to sponsored projects
- Managementof study subject payments
- IRBsupport for faculty conducting research in the THHC, including assistance withsubmission of protocols and reports of change, maintaining up-to-date CITItraining for researchers and students on all protocols, serving as a liaisonwith IRB
- Researchparticipant registry management and oversight of training
- Assistancewith the development and implementation of a Clinical Outcomes Database at theVHTC as well as policies and procedures for faculty and student access
- Managing/maintainingsmall office/research projects and initiatives
- Providedirect assistance to Researchers with pre- and post-award management includingliaison with campus departments and the Office of Research when necessary
- Overseethe processing of contracts and/or grants
- Researchingand interpreting relevant regulations, guidelines and standards
- Researchingvarious business and campus-related information and processes
- Humanresources support as it relates to sponsored projects, including development ofjob descriptions, posting, coordinating searches and hiring processes
- Attendsponsored programs related trainings and compliance meetings
- Becomfortable, articulate, and professionally appropriate, yet sensitive, inworking with the public (our research participants and clients), faculty,students, and staff
- Excellentwritten verbal and communication skills
- Abilityto use critical thinking to analyze, evaluate, and solve problems
- Stronginterpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Excellentattention to detail and ability to verify accuracy of work necessary fortracking and coordinating major projects with multiple collaborators

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant professionalexperience or, without a Bachelor’s, seven (7) years of experience with professionalbusiness processes including at least one of the following:budget/finance administration, contract and compliance oversight, and/or humanresources coordination.
- Five (5) years of experience with researchadministration and/or grant submission coordination
Research/Sponsoredprogram experience in a higher education environment
