Job Description:
DCC is currently accepting applications for part-time instructors in Computer Information Systems (CIS) for the Spring 2020 semester. A Master's degree in Computer
Information Systems or a related field is required. We are seeking part-time instructors with skills/experience in the following areas:
Web Administration skills:
HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Server, IIS, SQL/Server
Cybersecurity skills:
Secure Communications and Information Security Best Practices
Digital Evidence Collection
Layered Defense
HTML5 Security Vulnerabilities and Controls
Proactive and Post-Incident Cyber Services
Risk Response Development and Control
Operating systems
Windows 10, Linux, Python, Powershell, OS internal Concepts
Oracle Skills
PL/SQL, Oracle Application Development, Systems Analysis skills, MS Project
App Development
Windows 10 Application Development, Windows Mobile App Development, C# programming
Requirements:
A Master's degree in computer information systems or a related field is required. College teaching experience is preferred.
Additional Information:
Adjunct Faculty positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Dutchess Community College and Dutchess United Educators (DUE).

Dutchess Community College has been in Dutchess County for more than 50 years. We have the reputation of being the best community college in the state for academic excellence and the success of our graduates. Students who transfer to a four-year school after Dutchess do better and graduate at a higher rate than students who transfer from other colleges. Plus, we currently have the lowest tuition of any college or university in the state.
Our main campus is in Poughkeepsie, with a major extension site in Wappingers Falls. Students can also take DCC classes at high schools throughout the county.
We offer associate degrees and certificates in more than 60 program areas. Some of these programs are occupationally-oriented, designed to provide the skills students need to enter the job market immediately upon graduation. Other programs are designed to provide the first two years' of study toward a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university. The certificate programs provide a condensed program in a particular field of study and usually can be completed in one or two semesters of study.
There are three different types of degrees from which students can choose:
The Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.) is used primarily for transfer programs that lead to the bachelor of arts degree at a four-year college or university. It may be used for general liberal arts programs.
The Associate in Science Degree (A.S.) may be used for certain occupationally-oriented studies, but is primarily designed to serve science or professionally-related programs that lead to transfer to a bachelor of science degree at a four-year college or university.
The Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) is structured as an occupationally-oriented degree. However, it may be appropriate as a transfer degree to certain types of specialized baccalaureate program such as the bachelor's of technology.
