Job SummaryTemporary, part-time instructor for Spring Semester 2020.
CRJ 197, Crime Scene Investigation II, Wednesdays and Fridays 12:50 pm-2:50 pm on the Ankeny Campus
Teaches assigned course in accordance with course competencies, course standards, and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment, and provides timely updates to Career Advantage Advisors.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security/Emergency Management, Sociology, Political Science or related. 2 years non-teaching related work experience.
Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations having diverse values, and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.
Experience documenting, collecting and processing evidence. Teaching experience, especially in a hands-on/lab setting. Experience working with high school students.
