Job SummaryThe Sanders-Brown Center on Aging is looking for a highly-motivated person to perform a wide variety of database administration, database programming, database analysis and design functions including coordinating all aspects of database systems for Alzheimer’s Disease research, related studies, and select clinical trials.
The position will work closely with the SBCoA DataOps and DevOps Team to effectively and efficiently meet database development and quality control needs.
This position will be responsible for assisting in the administration of various SQL database systems, designing database infrastructure, control access permissions and privileges, developing schemas, refining logical design, map out conceptual designs, normalize archival databases, and develop detailed ER models.
Position requires extensive knowledge of database design, development, and administration, proficiency with MSSQL and MySQL. Additional DBMS experience a plus.

Research
In fiscal year 2016, the University of Kentucky was awarded $316.5 million in external grants and contracts.
