The AACSB-accredited College of Business Administration at Winthrop University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Business Analytics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Management Science, or a closely related discipline, by August 2020. A successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of excellence in university teaching, research, and service performance, or evidence of the potential to develop such a record.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in quantitative methods and business analytics
  • Pursue a productive scholarly agenda marked by high quality outputs
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate students
  • Serve on university, college, and departmental committees

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

A 9-month, full-time tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor with the option of summer employment if funds are available.  Salary dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Statistics, Management Science, or a related area, or a firm expectation of completion by July 2020
  • A record or potential of excellent teaching in business analytics courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels
  • Evidence of the potential for scholarship and professional stewardship commensurate with appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body
  • Experience with online instruction, program development, and program delivery preferred
