The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Candidates eligible for this position will have demonstrated strong programs of research and teaching. Highest priorities are in areas of Gerontology, Psychiatry, Mental Health, and Pediatrics. Candidates applying for this senate faculty position are expected to be licensed RN's with a PhD; NP board certified is desired.
Candidates eligible for this position are expected to demonstrate a clear trajectory of scholarly focus in their program of research. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have a track record of federal funding as a principal investigator. Candidates must be able to mentor students at all levels (BS, MS, DNP, PhD).
Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will help prepare students for a career in nursing research.
Candidates must also show evidence of collaborative interdisciplinary partnerships that will advance the science in health outcomes of individuals, families and communities, and in teaching the next generation of nurses, educators, researchers, and innovators.

ABOUT THE SUE & BILL GROSS SCHOOL OF NURSING
The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at UC Irvine is the newest nursing school in the prestigious University of California system. Designated as a School in 2017, it is already ranked as one of the top 50 in research funding and has received over $13 million to research areas such as oncology, HIV/AIDS, pediatrics, self-care, mental health, women's health, clinical policy, and nursing education.
The School of Nursing offers baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees (DNP and PhD) in Nursing Science and is home to more than 200 students. The School is dedicated to the education of nursing professionals who will improve patient care and promote population health, locally and globally. Our faculty and students spend over 10,000 hours a year working with local communities to provide healthcare to vulnerable populations like under-served schools, the homeless population, the older adult community, and those with mental health disorders. We strive to produce leaders in research, education, and clinical practice who will champion collaborative, compassionate, and interdisciplinary evidence-based practice.
The School of Nursing is one of four academic units in the College of Health Sciences which includes a School of Medicine, and Programs in Public Health and Pharmacy Science.
