THIS IS A TUCSON, ARIZONA BASED POSITION

The Online Learning Design and Production Manager is responsible for driving and coordinating the design, development, production, and quality outcomes of high quality learning experiences for all online programs utilizing research and best practices in adult learning theory for online delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide expertise in the planning, development, production, and delivery of high quality online learning experiences. 
  • Design and implement a methodology for scalable workflows.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the curriculum and multi-media teams towards learning design excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty on content development and outcomes analysis.
  • Manage an aggressive schedule of new program development and curriculum revisions.
  • Provide recommendations for testing innovative or growth ideas and manage the development, implementation, and performance tracking of these pilots.
  • Promote a culture of continual improvement that incorporates a systematic, evidence-based approach to evaluating the student experience.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure optimal use of available technologies, integrations, and data structuring.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in educational technology as well as the latest in research in online learning and know when to incorporate new approaches to development methodology.
  • Apply an innovative mindset to solving learning design problems.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of universal design and ensure diverse student needs are accommodated through an intentional application of best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and other colleagues to develop, analyze.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Online Learning, eLearning, Education, or a closely related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience designing and producing high quality and interactive online courses and programs.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth of experience and skills in online education
  • Knowledge and experience with online quality management practices such as Quality Matters.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Four (4) years of experience supervising professional staff and evaluating their performance.
  • Knowledge of ABHES distance education standards is a plus.
  • Blended learning experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while still providing excellent support and outcomes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HTML.
  • Skills and knowledge working with educational tools and software including learning management systems, course authoring tools, student information systems, etc.
