PCC is looking for an International Student Admissions Specialist who will be primarily responsible for the processing and reviewing of applications from prospective international students. The Specialist assists in the recruitment of new students through a variety of outreach efforts, reviews and analyzes documentation, trouble-shoots and helps resolve obstacles to enrollment, ensures compliance with related rules and regulations, and supports broader department goals and initiatives. The Specialist acts as a Designated School Official (DSO) as defined by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).

Candidate Profile
These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.
Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these qualifications.
  • Training and experience as a Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 visa students, especially as it pertains to International Student Admissions and the issuance of I-20s.
  • Training and experience with Salesforce / EnrollmentRx.
  • Experience with international student recruitment.
Minimum Qualifications To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies, International Affairs, International Education, Social Sciences, International Business, Marketing, Foreign/Modern Languages, or other related field.
  • Experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Two years of experience working with international (F-1 or J-1) students in a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to be a Designated School Official as required by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).

  • Considerable knowledge of immigration rules and regulations.
  • Considerable knowledge of college admissions policies and procedures.
  • Skill in reviewing/evaluating foreign and domestic transcripts.
  • Skill in delivering presentations.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Skill in operating a computer and supporting software.
  • Ability to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and diplomacy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
  • Ability to learn and apply applicable federal regulations.
Salary:
$41,734 to $44,707 (Step 3); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

*Please note: Temporary Academic Professional employees are not eligible for Personal Leave Days, Life Insurance, Long-term Disability, or AD&D Insurance.

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)
- Starts at 13.33 hours of vacation leave per month (additional vacation hours with years of services)
- 1 day of sick leave per month
- 11 holidays
- 3 additional personal leave days per year
