Job Details
The Pioneer ID Card Office exists to give DU students, faculty and staff reliable and verifiable identification. The office provides access to facilities, dining and special events, and is committed to ensuring Pioneer ID Cards work properly and the accounts connected to those cards are managed properly.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pioneer ID Card Office, including, but not limited to: ID card production, customer service, troubleshooting, cashiering, data entry, and accounting.
The position reports to the ID System Administrator.
Essential Functions
- Administer the production of new and replacement ID cards and RTD Passes for all students, faculty, and staff.
- Manage all daily operations of the office including covering shifts, inventories, and maintaining the integrity of the system.
- Assist customers with debit accounts, meal plans, ID card problems, and questions.
- Process requests for privileges and building access.
- Accept payment and process transactions for Flex and Bookstore deposits, issuing ID cards, RTD Passes, ISIC cards, copy cards, and passport photos.
- Responsible for balancing and closing registers at end of day.
- Assist in the operation of the freshman orientation carding event.
- Assist with the production and distribution of the pre-printed ID card requests.
- Assist in troubleshooting system errors and processing user requests for reports and information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrate excellence in serving customers in high stress, fast-paced conditions.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Pleasant and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work under pressure of time deadlines and interruptions. Management and conflict resolution skills helpful.
- Must possess basic math and accounting skills, and knowledge of cash handling procedures.
- Ability to embrace and develop proficiency with computer technology quickly and easily
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous cash handling experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting and reconciliation experience.
- Experience with Banner, Blackboard Transact, and CORE iPayment cashiering system
Work Schedule
- Mon-Thu 9am-6pm, and Friday 10am-3pm
- Between terms: 8a-4:30pm M-F;
- Must work Labor Day
