Description:

The University of Florida, Gainesville (UFCOM) seeks a dynamic and visionary clinician-leader to serve as the Department of Psychiatry Vice Chair of Clinical Operations. Report directly to the Chair of the UFCOM Department of Psychiatry. This is a full-time, tenure track or multi-mission track. The University of Florida is a large state university, which provides undergraduate, graduate, and professional education to an ethnically and culturally diverse population.

The Vice Chair will address a set of key opportunities and challenges as listed below:

  • Lead a thriving, multi-site clinical practice.
  • Maximize opportunities for collaboration across UFCOM and the UF Health Care system
  • Foster an environment of innovation in clinical delivery models
  • Recruit, support, and develop new generations of leaders
  • Expand relationship with surrounding Health Care Community Services
  • Oversight of all Clinical Services
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient services at both UF Health Shands Psychiatry Hospital and at UF Health at Springhill.

Qualifications:

Eligible applicants must have completed an accredited psychiatric residency training program and be Board Certified in Psychiatry, and able to obtain a Florida Medical License. The successful applicant will also have a demonstrated record in psychiatric leadership, administration, clinical excellence, and teaching interest in an academic medical center. Applicants with experience in collaborative care are of particular interest.
