The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida invites applications for multiple 9 or 12 month, non-tenure track, full-time, positions at the rank of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Master Lecturer in the Department of Industrial Systems & Engineering (ISE) The anticipated hiring rank is Lecturer, senior levels may be considered based upon experience or the need of the unit.

The positions will complement other current full-time lecturer and master lecturer appointments within the Department. The candidate must hold a masters or doctorate in Industrial Engineering or related discipline. It is also highly desirable that the applicant has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. Duties and responsibilities include teaching, revising and developing undergraduate and graduate Industrial and Systems Engineering courses and collecting data on student performance and managing course contents for accreditation purposes. The lecturer portfolio consists of 70-75% teaching, 20% research in engineering education, and 5-10% department/professional service. Desired areas of teaching include: Data Analytics, Production & Logistics, Human Systems Engineering, Decision Support Systems, and Facilities Design. Teaching assignments will be made according to background and experience.


Qualifications:

Ph.D. (preferred) or M.S. in Engineering or related discipline. Ideal applicants will hold a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and have a strong computing and statistics background. Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
