Description:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks a full-time Abdominal Imaging Radiologist. This is a non-tenure accruing position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Major responsibilities include coverage of the ultrasound, MRI, plain films, fluoroscopy, and CT. US and CT guided procedure experience would be preferred. Abdominal radiologists staff three UF Health locations on a rotating basis. In addition, some coverage of general radiology clinical services is required. The abdominal radiologist also participate in the weekend call pool.

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville is the largest of the three UF colleges - medicine, nursing and pharmacy - located on the approximately 110-acre UF Health Jacksonville campus. The college's 16 clinical science departments house more than 400 faculty members and 300 residents and fellows. The college offers 32 accredited graduate medical education programs. In addition to graduate medical education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville.

For practicing physicians, the college offers a continuing medical education program that recruits national and international speakers who are well known and respected in their fields. The campus' faculty, residents and fellows are active in clinical research. Residents and fellows regularly present their findings at locations across the country and publish their projects in well-known publications.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be Board Certified / Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. The successful candidate will be fellowship trained in Abdominal Imaging and experienced in all aspects of Imaging and Intervention is also preferred. Candidates must be MD/DO and able to obtain a license to practice medicine in the state of Florida and meet the qualifications for a full time faculty position at the University of Florida.
