Position Summary Information

POSTION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must have the ability to teach in both a classroom and clinical setting and be particularly adept in the areas of Medical/Surgical Nursing.
  • The ability to work in a variety of settings and promote student growth and success is essential.
  • This requires the use of excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a variety of constituents along with solid pedagogy skills that promote learning.
  • In addition, must actively participate in and accomplish items that are required for accreditation for the discipline, division, and college.
  • Must actively support student retention initiatives that promote program completion.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and spring/summer.
Required Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • Current or obtainable Michigan License.
  • Minimum of three years clinical experience in the acute care hospital setting specifically in the area of Medical-Surgical Nursing.
  • One Year of college level didactic and/or clinical teaching.
