Position Summary:

The Department of Neurosurgery at UNC-Chapel Hill is seeking a board certified or board eligible neurosurgeon to join a group of skilled neurosurgeons in a highly collaborative academic environment. This position is located full-time in Rocky Mount, NC at Nash UNC Healthcare ( This is an open rank fixed-term faculty position, and rank and salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
While this position will practice in the Rocky Mount area, the Department provides advanced adult neurosurgery services in Chapel Hill and at a growing number of regional offices that include Hillsborough, Pinehurst, and South Boston, Virginia. We offer pediatric services in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Wilmington. Our clinical team in Chapel Hill also includes specialists in neuro-oncology and physiatry. The neurosurgery facilities include a state-of-the-art spine and imaging center that offers a full range of treatment options.

Educational Requirements:

Candidate must be an MD or DO and be board eligible or board-certified in neurological surgery.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ability to work well with neurosurgical, critical care, and other clinician partners is of paramount importance. The position requires that the candidate have, or be able to obtain, a medical license in the state of North Carolina and be credentialed to practice medicine at Nash UNC Healthcare.
