DescriptionThe Psychology Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seekingapplicants for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in clinicalpsychology with specialized training and research interests in geropsychology/aging.The position begins on August 17, 2020. Candidates must have a Ph.D. inPsychology or Clinical Psychology from a university-affiliated APA-accreditedclinical psychology program, with evidence of research and clinical training inclinical geropsychology/aging. Potential exists for contributing to clinicaltraining leadership.


UCCS faculty arecommitted to excellence in teaching and research, with the expectation thatfaculty maintain a productive program of research with commitment to obtainexternal funding. Clinical instruction and supervision in the department’scommunity clinic (UCCS Aging Center) may be part of the teaching load inaddition to undergraduate and graduate classes. Candidates must be expected to obtainColorado licensure within one year of hire. The Psychology Department currentlyoffers a BA program in Psychology, an MA program with tracks in Clinical Psychologyand Psychological Science (with optional sub-plans), and a Clinical PsychologyPhD with Major Areas of Study in Geropsychology or Trauma Psychology (more informationis available at https://www.uccs.edu/psych/). The new hire will join 4 clinicalgeropsychologists within the department.
