The Business Core Service Team (BCST) of the College of Health & Human Services (CHHS) facilitates the business services and facilities operations process for the CHHS inclusive of the Office of the Dean, the three professional schools, and the two centers. This position will assist the College Facilities and Operations Manager by providing administrative and technological support related to space planning, facility expansion and logistical preparation.
Primary job duties of this position will include: a) equipment and furniture tracking and identifying relocation spaces, b) developing a move timeline and communicating said timeline across the college landscape, and c) the execution of large-scale movement of furniture, belongings, and equipment from McNeill Hall, Trask Coliseum, Natatorium, Hanover Hall, Purchasing Services and Veterans Hall. This position will work in partnership with the Facilities and Operations Manager to fully manage the move planning, process, and details of the execution of the space planning of all CHHS Facilities.

This position is being recruited on a temporary basis and with an end date of December 15, 2020.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to compile, organize, and summarize data related to space utilization and other facilities related matters

Ability to analyze a situation and logistically map out course of action to execute

Ability to provide customer service to various stakeholders; and, ability to use judgement in dealing with various stakeholders

Ability to prioritize work tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize and adjust workload to handle multiple responsibilities

Ability to physically lift 50 lbs.

Proficiency in technology set-ups and troubleshooting technological issues

Proficiency in the use of a personal computer with multiple types of software programs, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Banner system; substantial knowledge of electronic calendaring programs e.g. Microsoft Outlook

Proficiency in oral communication skills and the ability to listen and take accurate notes based on verbal information

Proficiency in written communication skills

Ability to work under pressure and adjust to a diverse working environment

Ability to develop detailed procedures and processes outlining the steps to follow in completing projects/tasks

Ability to plan and organize work events that require specific sequencing with close attention to detail
