Program Description:

The Department of Social Work at Westfield State University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin September, 2020 on the Westfield campus. The Department of Social Work at Westfield State University provides generalist social work education to over 100 BSW students, and clinically-focused social work education to over 300 MSW students. Both Programs use hybrid and online delivery models, in addition to fully on the ground classes in the BSW Program

General Statement of Duties:

The position will teach across the BSW and MSW Programs in Westfield, MA. The teaching load will be 24 credits per year (12 credits per semester), in addition to advising, scholarship, and service. Applicants who have the ability to teach generalist content in Diversity & Social Justice, Social Welfare Policy, and Integrative Field Education Seminars are especially encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
Qualifications Required:

  • A doctoral degree, DSW or Ph.D. in Social Work or a closely related social science field.
  • Master of Social Work degree
  • Minimum of two years post-masters direct practice experience

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Applicants who have the ability to teach generalist content in Diversity & Social Justice, Social Welfare Policy, and Integrative Field Education Seminars are especially encouraged to apply.
