POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, Finance & Administration will provide critical financial expertise to Facilities and Campus Services and serve as a key liaison with the Finance Office. This position will provide a full range of financial support including creating and/or updating financial and operational analysis, performing financial activities in support of various functions, e.g., budgeting, auditing, and financial planning, which includes extracting financial data from various accounting and information systems to perform basic to moderately complex statistical and financial analysis, and for preparing reports. The Director, Finance & Administration for Facilities and Campus Services will also provide supervision of the Assistant Director responsible for the College’s Fleet Vehicles, Parking, Mailing and Duplicating units, and supervision of the Facilities and Campus Services Information Technology staff and functions
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate and assist the Assistant Vice President, Facilities & Campus Services and unit Directors with the preparation and management of the Facilities & Campus Services budget.
- Perform complex finance functions and activities to support data driven decision making and to support the timely recognition of real and potential financial and operating challenges.
- Supervise the Parking/Fleet, Mailing and Duplicating Services unit with in Facilities & Campus Services.
- Assist with the data collection and analysis for the Sightlines Program.
- Supervise the departmental Information Technology functions and staff.Serve as the conduit between Information Technology Services, outside IT service providers and departmental users to oversee and maintain the departmental outsourced IT functions (TMA, CaterTraks, EMS, ARC, MelRock).
- Collaborate with Communications Office, students, faculty and Facilities and Campus Services units to maintain the interactive departmental website and social media functions. Administer the Project Tollgate Process.
- Analyze College well production estimates and make recommendations on revenue projections for a defined period.
- Ensure that registration and reporting requirements for various state and federal agencies are maintained and up to date.
- Oversee office supplies purchases and maintenance of leased office equipment.
- Coordinate special projects/tasks and provide assistance as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in the area of accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field from an accredited College or University, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- CPA or MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the areas of budgeting, finance, or accounting is required, with 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity, preferably from a college or university.
- Experienced in providing analytical support for complex budget, financial, or resource analysis assignments;
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exceptional active listening skills with a strong customer service orientation to find solutions to complex problems and answer unconventional questions. Possess a strong financial systems background with financial reporting systems, data query tools, and computer applications.
- Organizational abilities, including the ability to juggle multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Possess strong problem-solving and quantitative analytical skills to complete work with accuracy and an attention to detail.
- Work both independently and as a collaborative member of the college with a high standard of integrity and ethics.
REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, except during the designated summer period when office hours end at 4:30 p.m. Overtime, holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, exempt. Starting pay rate: $7,696 per month.
