California State University, Stanislaus (Stanislaus State) seeks applications from and nominations of accomplished, innovative leaders for consideration as the new Vice President, Business & Finance. The University is part of California State University (CSU), a 23-campus system across California. With more than 470,000 students, it is the largest, the most diverse, and one of the most affordable university systems in the country. CSU campuses emphasize access to quality public higher education and workforce preparation that is responsive to regional needs. Widely recognized for its quality academic programs, Stanislaus State has 10 nationally accredited programs and more than 300 full-time faculty. Over 80% of full-time faculty members hold doctorates or terminal degrees in their fields. The University, comprised of four colleges, offers a rich mix of 43 undergraduate programs, 16 master's programs, seven post-graduate credentials, and a doctorate in educational leadership. New instructional facilities have been built for the unique pedagogy of professional programs, laboratory sciences, and performing arts. Stanislaus State seeks a new Vice President, Business & Finance who has extensive, senior-level experience in a broad variety of management areas, preferably in an institution of higher education. Reporting directly to the President, Dr. Ellen Junn, the Vice President for Business and Finance is the chief financial and senior management officer and advisor to the President on the administrative support operations of the University. The position oversees the University Foundation's financial accounting/reporting activities, serves as a member of the President's Executive Administrative Team, and is a member of the President's Executive Cabinet. Expected qualifications include an advanced degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or a closely related field and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible administrative or professional accounting (or equivalent) experience. Experience in a non-profit organization or higher education setting is strongly preferred, particularly experience with the California State University or University of California systems. The Vice President must have a deep understanding of and commitment to diversity and inclusion, and be an accessible, decisive, and compassionate leader who will foster teamwork and collaboration, and promote a productive and professional work environment.
