Develops appropriate academic schedules for stated educational goals and works with students to monitor academic progress. Participates in the recruitment, planning, evaluation, implementation, and reporting for the undergraduate program within the departments.
Responsible for coordinating lower division programs in both Psychology and Chemistry. The duties include planning orientation for transfer students and first-time in college (FTIC) students. Coordinates the transient student application process and runs the accepted student preview. Performs graduation checks for the respective departments and assists with the drop/add process.
Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures affecting undergraduate students within the departments. Conducts research and makes recommendations pertaining to the establishment and revision of academic programs.
Attends all University, College, and Department meetings that pertain to undergraduate advising and recruiting. Serves as a liaison between the department and the university community. Performs other duties pertaining to undergraduate affairs as needed such as assisting with academic awards programs and academic events.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience.
Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Experience interpreting academic program requirements and providing advice.
Knowledge of academic resources available to students.
Knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.Anticipated Salary Range Anticipated starting salary range will be in the low to mid $30,000s.Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
