Provides post-award management and support to ensure fiscal and programmatic compliance with grant-funded project requirements as specified by the government funding source(s) and by TCCD. Serves as a resource and point of contact for project directors and other stakeholders in prospective, active and closed grant-funded projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to grant-funded project leaders/project managers in understanding regulatory requirements and in setting up accurate and reasonable budgets in compliance with funding source requirements and TCCD accounting practices
• Provides both proactive and corrective training, oversight, and support with regard to allowable and unallowable expenditures for grant-funded projects, as well as for the accurate, complete, and timely preparation and submission of reports and other documentation required by various funding sources
• Monitors all expenditures for timeliness and allowance to ensure successful performance throughout the funding period of each grant-funded project
• Assists grant-funded project directors/managers in working with Human Resources, Purchasing, and Financial Services for timely and appropriate implementation of project activities requiring hiring/realigning staff, purchasing products or services, and/or tracking revenue and expenditures for grant-funded activities
• Serves as an internal consultant for problem-solving on programmatic and fiscal compliance matters for project directors/managers, Grants Accounting, and other stakeholders in grant-funded projects
• Assists with regular internal monitoring reviews, including mock audits, documenting and communicating issues of non-compliance with project director and Director of Grants Compliance
• Assists grant-funded project teams and accounting team in preparations for external monitoring visits, reviews, audits, and cross-site evaluations
• Assists in maintaining internal records system and communication tools to ensure complete, accurate project records and timely dissemination of related grants compliance information and reports
• Establishes and maintains individual electronic and hard copy files for each grant-funded project to be used for tracking and reporting purposes
• Assists in researching/monitoring regulatory compliance requirements and changes likely to impact TCCD and other institutions of higher education
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and two (2) years related work experience, preferably supporting programmatic and fiscal compliance of grant-funded projects; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
• Experience with computerized systems
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Work experience managing programmatic and fiscal compliance of grant-funded projects in higher education and/or continuing education
• Knowledge of the educational and community service mission of the community college

• Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.)
• Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
