The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2020. We seek a broadly trained sociocultural anthropologist who has a strong commitment to teaching within an undergraduate liberal arts and sciences setting. We seek an anthropologist with recognized research interests in environmental anthropology, sustainability, or ethnobotany. The individual would be expected to contribute to our sociocultural anthropology concentration as well as teach Introduction to Anthropology (4 fields). Candidates should demonstrate evidence of ongoing scholarship. Successful candidates will have earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology by the time of appointment.
