Description
Assistant Project Scientist to conduct research on rehabilitation after spinal cord injury in human and animal models using neuromodulation techniques. The candidate will develop implantable spinal neuroprosthetics for neuromodulating spinal networks. He/she will develop non-invasive spinal neuromodulation devices that can facilitate standing and upper limb function after complete paralysis. He/she will develop and implement rehabilitation programs to enable motor and bladder function in subjects with paralysis. He/she will develop transcutaneous stimulation methods that can facilitate voluntary movement and enhance cardiovascular and bladder function post paralysis. He/she will present research results at meetings and conferences. He/she will also prepare papers for publication in professional journals.
