Description:

Reporting to the Registrar and Director of Academic Records, the Associate Director of Academic Records will oversee the day to day operations and graduation processing in the Office of Academic Records.

Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:
Regular communication with deans, department chairpersons, and faculty is required for accurate interpretation and clarification of major and minor degree requirements as well as resolving other academic issues.
Supervise clerical staff including training, creating schedules and managing performance.
Hiring and scheduling of graduate and undergraduate workers
Assists with maintaining and testing of the degree audit system. Testing during system upgrades and participation in university events outside of the regular work hours are also required.
This position may be called upon to assist with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required with at least two years experience in an Academic Records, Registrar, or in Student Advisement. Experience with Ellucian’s Banner Student information system or another integrated database is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. The candidate must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and well organized. The candidate must have excellent management and interpersonal skills, be able to problem solve effectively, and be able to assess and improve on current office practices.
