The College of Nursing at The University of Toledo seeks a Assistant Professor, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This nurse practitioner will have a dual role as a faculty member in the College of Nursing and as a clinician who will see patients at the University of Toledo Student Counseling Center 20 hours per week (.5 FTE). Duties within the Student Counseling Center will include collaborating as a team member as a Psych NP which may include intake and psychiatric assessments, 1:1 and/or group therapy, medication management, crisis management, educational and wellness programming, other duties as appropriate. As part of the faculty role, the qualified candidate will maintain a teaching assignment in the area their expertise. The faculty role may include classroom, clinical, and /or online teaching, clinical scheduling, clinical site visits, preparing for class/clinical, evaluating assignments, assessing student learning outcomes and program evaluation. Other possible duties include: advising students on professional and/or course related matters, participating in curriculum development including designing, reviewing, and revising courses and programs, chairing and/or serving on student capstone or final project committees, serving on College or University-level committees, and other duties as assigned. The earliest start date is November 1, 2019 but applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.

Doctorate degree in Nursing (e.g., DNP or PhD) or closely related field required.Must be eligible for RN licensure in Ohio. The qualified candidate must be a certified psychiatric mental-health nurse practitioner, and have a minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience as a registered nurse.Experience working with adolescent/young adult populations.
