Physical Requirements

This position requires occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds. Occasional loading/unloading of materials for conferences.


Primarily Monday through Friday, some weekends and evening activities may be required as needed.

Job Summary

Family and Consumer Sciences is seeking a Program Coordinator II to provide direct support and service to a new Children, Youth and Families at Risk grant. The Program Coordinator II position is one of a team of Family and Consumer Sciences Extension professionals who support county educators in improving the quality of individual and family life through education, research and outreach. This position will: develop, promote and evaluate programs and curricula that lead foster and kin care youth to gain needed life skills for self-sufficiency in adulthood and programs and curricula to teach effective parenting skills to foster parents and relatives raising children. Through this position, Kentucky will be better suited to work with these under-served populations and help to prevent issues when these children age out of the system including homelessness, mental health issues, drug use, and joblessness.
