Job Description:


York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for the part-time position of Special Event A/V Technician. This position is responsible for organizing and supporting audio/video needs for campus special events, including nights and weekends.


The position is responsible for:


  • Operating audio/video equipment for special events during business and non-business hours.
  • Maintaining and repairing audio/video technology in classrooms and other campus spaces.
  • Working with event organizers to establish audio/video needs for special events.
  • Troubleshooting audio/video issues in real-time or as they are reported to the Help Desk.


Requirements:


The ideal candidate should have, at a minimum, an associate or undergraduate degree in a related field, such as, Mass Communications or Recording Technology. The candidate should also have at least one year of experience with stage lighting, projection, both analog and digital sound boards/mixers, as well as MAC and PC computer systems. Candidate must be capable of climbing ladders and lifting 50lbs.
