 TheAdult and Child Consortium for HealthOutcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) has an opening for a full-time,University Staff (unclassified) BusinessServices Entry Level Professional position.

Natureof Work:

The Adult and ChildConsortium for Health Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) has anopening for a full-time Business Services Entry Level Professional. TheBusiness Services Professional will work with both the Administrative team andthe Educational Core in ACCORDS to support fiscal, communications andoperational needs. They will work both independently and in collaboration withteam members and guest speakers who will be giving educational seminars hostedby ACCORDS.


Examples of Work Performed: The Education Coreduties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinateall aspects of the group’s functioning.
  • He/shewill meet with the director of the educational core bi-weekly to discuss theprogram’s agenda and ACCORDS educational offerings.
  • Willset up and facilitate group-planning meetings between the director and otherplanning committee members for each event series or conference as necessary.
  • Createand track a program budget in accordance with the ACCORDS approved expenses.
  • Managehonorariums.
  • Eventsscheduled, coordinated and administered by the Business Services Professionalwill include seminars, workshops, and conferences.
The Communicationsand Administrative duties include but are not limited to:

  • Creatingand tracking procurement and travel reports for the ACCORDS department.
  • Eventand meeting management/coordination (meeting lunches, seminars, workshops,etc.)
  • Willprovide administrative support to the Communications Manager.
  • Assistwith the development and support outreach initiatives.
  • Trackattendance and engagement data for ongoing seminar series; make recommendationsregarding outreach and communication strategies based on results.
  • Performother duties as assigned.

 Salary and Benefits:The hiring salary forthis position is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is noteligible for overtime compensation.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Abachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting,education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration,or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Schedulingmeetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previousemployment in a university environment.
  • Previousexperience in a health care research environment.
  • Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Abilityto communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Abilityto establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at alllevels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advancediversity and inclusion.
  • Thesuccess of the educational programming largely lies directly on the programcoordinator’s attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
