Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains. In 1957, the County of Westchester bought the 360-acre John Hartford estate in Valhalla and designated 218 acres for the community college. Reporting to the Manager of Fiscal Operations (WCC), the P/T Jr. Administrative Assistant will prepare reports, including all Monthly Bank Reconciliations, the Daily Bank Activity report, as well as the weekly bank reconciliation status report. The incumbent will also assist with vendor invoices and purchase orders, special projects (as assigned), and budget preparation. All other duties, as assigned.
A minimum of high school or general equivalency diploma and five years of experience where the primary function of the position was in a staff or administrative support capacity, or where the primary function of the position was the supervision of clerical positions. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, are required. *This is a Civil Service position. The final candidate will be required to take and pass the Civil Service Exam.*
WORK SCHEDULE: 17.5 hours per week.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $26,173 plus excellent benefits.
