The Business Applications Analysts (works independently or as part of a team) provides development and support of customized, in-house developed software applications and system integration with moderate to high levels of complexity. Provides operational assessments, business and technical expertise for the development of technical solutions.Provides support and maintenance of in-house developed applications, integrated systems and the infrastructure supporting the deployment of those applications and integrations. Incorporates advanced technologies effectively delivering solutions to meet client and stakeholder needs.Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with nine credit hours in programming and one year of experience in business application consulting or development; All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Ability to provide technical LMS (Canvas) integration support and analyze LMS programming issues and determine resolution.
Demonstrated ability to successfully provide administration, support, and upgrades of enterprise wide systems through their life cycle.
•Demonstrated ability to program in Oracle and/or SQL databases.
•Demonstrated analytics, project management, and team player experience.
•Knowledge of and ability to create scripting with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
•Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues in an enterprise systems environment.
•Excellent analytical and communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Positive, calm and responsive to clients
At least 3 years web related development experience using both client and server-side technologies. Experience with .Net Core, .Net MVC, Web APIs, Web Services, DevOps, Source Control, Web application security and Azure are preferred. Familiarity with Canvas LMS basic function and Banner Enterprise solution.Primary purpose of the division, department, and/or grant
The Department of Enterprise Systems Support is a part of Information Technology Services (ITS) of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The Department of Enterprise Systems Support is responsible for systems analysis, design, programming, and support for enterprise and vendor applications. The Department of ESS provides:
•Innovative, stable, cost effective and secure technical support and maintenance of enterprise solutions to the campus community.
Day to day support for production applications and systems.
•Timely implementation of upgrades and releases.
•Development and analysis to support the operational requirements and mandates for production applications and systems.
•User access for production applications.
