DescriptionJob Purpose: Provide learning support opportunities to students in assignedtarget group(s) through directing programs designed to help them excel in theiracademic endeavors. Services provided including tutoring, facilitating facultyinteraction, and academic coaching. Responsible for setting employee goals,assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

 Major Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and coordinate a range of programs and services that support student academic endeavors.
  • Lead the hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating tutors, SI leaders, and student assistants.
  • Oversee data management/assessment for all academic support programs.
  • Develop and request crystal reports for reporting, assessment and evaluation purposes; and ensuring data are stored securely and in compliance with OIT and Institute guidelines and policies.
  • Coordinate all operations and logistics in assigned tutoring area, including managing tutoring reception desk, departmental tutoring rooms; oversee technology and A/V equipment that support tutoring programs.
  • Oversee marketing materials and communication efforts for tutoring and academic support programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Work Experience: Three to four years job related experience
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Skills: This job requires advanced knowledge of effective teaching and learning practices; working knowledge of student development theory and advising practices; advanced knowledge of provision of academic support services; advanced skills in office related computer applications; familiarity with basic skills in data analysis and descriptive statistics; strong verbal and written skills; excellent customer service, leadership, and supervisory skills; ability to communicate with diverse population of students, staff, and faculty.
