Lead relationship manager for the projects that involve ITS and NWRDC, including facilities projects. This role will be the primary interface and relationship manager with the Office of Facilities, ensuring that all projects stay on track and maintain forward momentum. This role will also manage other special projects as assigned and serve as a backup to the NWRDC ITSM manager.
Plans Projects: Consults with project sponsors to clarify project directives, scopes, deliverables, and timelines and to analyze risk. Meets with stakeholders to validate business cases and gather facts for establishing project charters. Creates project charters and analyzes business cases to validate issues, justify use of project resources and anticipate risks. Finalizes project scopes with stakeholders to ensure appropriate buy-in. Interacts with Enterprise-wide senior management to ensure adherence to NWRDC\ITS project methodology. Develops work breakdown structures to create roadmaps for identifying and organizing project resources and to establish project schedules for assigning and clarifying roles and responsibilities. Creates change management plans to provide guidance for incorporating and communicating shifts in project directives, scopes, deliverables and timelines.
Executes and Monitors Projects: Gathers and analyzes project metrics to evaluate project performance and to manage issues, risk and changes of scope. Utilizes PM tools to manage project timelines and accuracy, ensure project resource commitments are met, and to track activities and variances. Observes project team dynamics to ensure effective team member synergies and interacts with functional managers to manage resources and to meet project commitments to avoid delays and conflicts. Communicates with stakeholders, senior management, and project leaders and customers to review project progress and schedules, discuss issues and resolutions and to authorize scope changes.
Closes Projects: Closes project contracts to validate and verify supplier deliverables. Evaluates project achievements and documents issues to provide historical information for future projects. Obtains formal approvals for closing project plans to ensure deliverables, requirements and expectations were met. Surveys customers, stakeholders, functional managers and team members to gather input on project quality, metrics performance and recommendations for improvement. Utilizes PMI methodology to finalize project deliverables and formally close projects.
Configures, administers and supports the PPM/ITSM platforms\systems. Serves as a backup to the ITSM administrator in all functions and support of the ITSM platform. Develops training documentation for project managers and team members to enhance adoption of the PPM/ITSM platforms. Leverages the PPM/ITSM platform to produce executive level reports regarding the ITS project portfolio, associated resource allocations, project risks and constraints, lessons learned, and sponsor satisfaction.
Provides high level support and assistance to senior executive and management staff in the delivery and execution of special projects. Interfaces with executive teams and senior stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure that defined project scope, goals, and deliverables support and align with overall business goals and strategic objectives. Develops partnerships to sustain productive business relationships in support of ongoing success of project initiatives. Assists with oversight and evaluation of project management dedicated staff as needed. Assists with strategic planning for overall project design, deployment, and development.

Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives.
Experience serving as a project manager for multiple concurrent enterprise projects
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives.
Ability to maintain and improve personal and team effectiveness, and foster change and creativity.
