Middle East and/or African History. Skidmore College’s Department of History invites applications for a full-time, one-year faculty position in the history of the Middle East and/or Africa for academic year 2020-2021. Sub-field and time-frame are open. Three-three course teaching load. The successful candidate will be able to offer survey and upper-division undergraduate classes in area of expertise. Preference will be given to those candidates who provide evidence of effective teaching. PhD preferred, but qualified ABDs will be considered. Review of applications will begin in December 2019 and continue until the position is filled.
