Assistant / Associate / Full Professor - Breast Surgical Oncology
Job FieldThe Department of Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (SHSC) is inviting applications for a full-time member of the Division of General Surgery with a clinical and academic focus in Breast Oncology. The effective date of this appointment is July 1, 2020. This is a clinician investigator position and is associated with 40% protected time for research.
The successful candidate will provide excellent clinical care in breast cancer and develop a peer - reviewed internationally recognized clinical research program. Clinically, the successful candidate will manage a broad range of Breast cancer patients and must be able to work collegially with the team of breast cancer providers. The role involves training of University of Toronto medical students, general surgery and general surgery oncology residents and breast clinical fellows. The successful candidate will have a mandate to conduct clinical research and must possess a graduate degree in the area of his/her proposed research.
This is an academic position requiring clinical expertise in Breast Oncology. The candidate should possess fellowship training in Breast Oncology or Surgical Oncology (SSO, ACGME, RCPSC or equivalent) board certification either from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the American Board of Surgery, or equivalent. The successful candidate should be eligible for an academic appointment in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. The successful candidate must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
