Position Overview:

Boise State University invites interested applicants for theposition of Director, Sports Performance Coach, Olympic Sports.  Thesuccessful applicant will become part of our team as we build a MetropolitanResearch University of Distinction. The individual in this position is responsiblefor designing and implementing Sports Performance programs to 19 differentOlympic Sports Programs.  Any violationof a conference or NCAA regulation, as well as those policies of theUniversity, could cause dismissal of a participant or staff member, as well as,create negative publicity and/or conference or NCAA standings to the programand institution.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee planning and delivery of yearly performance programs to 19 different Olympic Sport Programs.
  • Be a collaborative member of the Sports Performance, Health & Wellness team.
  • Monitor and track student-athlete progress during the overall year.
  • Effectively Coach strength training, speed, agility and conditioning sessions.

    Minimum Qualifications (Including Certificates and Licenses):

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Five (5) years of experience working at the collegiate level in sports performance
  • Current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association
  • CPR and First Aid certification (must be completed within one month of hire)
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters’ Degree
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of experience working at the collegiate level in sports performance
  • Five (5) years of coaching experience at the Division I college level
  •
