The Department of Health Behavior, in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, invites applications for 1-2 fixed-term faculty positions as a Research Assistant Professor. The primary focus of these positions is on global health with an emphasis on community- or clinic-based intervention research in low- and middle-income countries. Exemplary candidates with a focus on community health in domestic settings will also be considered. Teaching experience, particularly with undergraduate behavioral science classes focused on population health, is a strength.

Applicants should have external research funding that will support them for at least two years from the start of their position.

Educational Requirements

The applicant must have a doctorate (PhD, ScD, or DrPH) in public health, public policy, social and behavioral science, or related field.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have a strong publication record and evidence of potential for developing a research program supported by external funding.
