The College seeks a Coordinator of the Community Engagement Learning Program in the Liberal Arts.   The Community Engagement Learning Program is a new initiative created to build-out curriculum driven, community engagement experiences across Liberal Arts disciplines.
The Coordinator will work with faculty to develop new curricular projects to increase community engaged learning opportunities for CLA students. Acting as a liaison between faculty and a targeted group of community organizations, the Coordinator will facilitate, troubleshoot and optimize the logistics of the students’ learning experiences and support faculty in the development and execution of curricular initiatives that align with the needs of the community organizations.  The Coordinator will develop relationships, training, assessment and reporting resources to ensure that the Community Engagement Learning Program is in line with its goals, and raise the visibility of the program to stakeholders and prospective participants in both the Temple University and external communities.  The incumbent will report to the Dean or a dean’s designee, and work with a Faculty and Community Advisory Board that will support and evaluate program objectives and outcomes.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years of experience working with community organizations and/or community-based research coordinating programs. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 
Required Skills & Abilities:*Knowledge of best practices in community engagement, service learning, community-based research, and university/community partnerships.*Background in curricular initiatives related to experiential learning*Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet process and outcome goals autonomously and in collaboration with a team.*Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies*Comfort with technology related to data management and communication on multiple platforms.*Demonstrated ability to prepare concise, accurate and high-quality written reports*Demonstrated understanding of and appreciation for the value of a liberal arts education.*Strategic thinker with ability to be creative, flexible, and reflective.*Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred:*Grant writing experience*Conversational Spanish*Master’s Degree
