Contract Analyst

Position Summary

Coordinates and assist in the operational activities of MSU HealthTeam and MSU Health Care, Inc.’s contract administration and finance office. Performs work directly related to the financial viability of contracts as well as drafting, reviewing and processing contract via the department’s contract management system. Maintains the contract management system with up-to-date data for each contract. Prepares financial analyses including return on investment and fair market value to be used for planning and budgeting purposes.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree in business administration or accounting; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office procedures or in performing responsibilities related to contract management in a health care setting; experience with Microsoft Office programs, database and database management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Problem solver; self-starter; dependable; follow through; detail-oriented; knowledgeable of healthcare operations; able to manage/coordinate multiple tasks; excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience drafting and reviewing contracts.
