Description    Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): 

Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher degree) in Psychology or related field. Ability to demonstrate professional competence in research activities. Specialized training and experience in operating equipment, carrying out test procedures, and using special methods for data collation and interpretation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher degree) in Psychology or related field. Research experience. Experience with scheduling or recruiting by telephone. Experience creating and maintaining databases. Experience with IRB protocols. Proficient computer skills. Experience conducting research interviews. Experience acquiring EEG data. Experience processing EEG data. Experience in acquiring fMRI data.

 

Brief Description of Duties:

Within defined test or analytical protocols, operate equipment, carry out test procedures, as well as collate and interpret data using special methods in support of a research project or program for Dr. Daniel Klein in the Department of Psychology. 


The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.


This is a full-time position that is designed to assist in research examining risk factors for psychological disorders and impaired functioning in adolescents and young adults.

 

Running laboratory visits (EEG/ERP and behavioral tasks). Recruit, schedule, and conduct semi-structured interviews. 

Collect data, record observations measurements and prepare reports for review of supervisor and or PI.

Perform literature search; staying current in the field by reading and discussing literature and experimental results with the supervisor and/or PI.

Other duties or projects as assigned.
