Job Summary

The College of Health Sciences is looking for graduate assistant to assist a faculty member with health equity research and service-related activities.

Responsibilities include:
•assist with the development of manuscripts suitable for submission to research journals;
•assist in conducting research including data collection and compilation, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with integrity and
•perform other duties as assigned.

•Experience conducting research or working with medically-underserved populations
•Developed research skills
•Self-motivation and a high level of responsibility to complete tasks in a timely manner and make significant progress without direct supervision
•Enrolled in a graduate program in public health, nursing, social work, or a health professions related field
•Flexibility in adjusting to new work-related requirements as they arise
•Ability to learn new software and research techniques as needed
•Strong oral and written communication skills, including competency in Microsoft Office
•Preference will be given to applicants with experience with statistical software programs like SAS or SPSS
