Job Details

The Lifeguard Instructor position is non-benefited, part-time and not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year. This position is responsible for teaching internal and external Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid Courses.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

This position will report to the Assistant Director of Aquatics and will teach internal and external Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid courses.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be an American Red Cross certified Lifeguard Instructor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid Certified

Work Schedule

  • Typical Schedule would include: Fridays 5pm - 9pm, Saturdays/Sundays 9am - 6pm, about once per month.

Working Environment:

The employee works in an active sports and fitness environment. Interruptions occur frequently and the stress level is moderate. Evening and Weekend hours may be required with this position.
