The Department of Computer Science (CS) at the Universityof Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for a tenure-track,assistant professor position in Cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will haveexpertise in one or more of the following areas of Cybersecurity:

 •             Datasecurity including digital forensics;

•             Softwaresecurity including malware analysis, deployment and maintenance;

•             Systemsecurity including vulnerability analysis and cloud computing security;

•             Networksecurity;

•             Componentsecurity or device security including reverse engineering and security platformarchitecture;

•             Formalmethods and language based security;

•             Humanaspects of security including social engineering, usable security and privacy;

•             Interdisciplinaryresearch cutting across Human security, Organization Security and SocietySecurity.

 Candidates from all other areas of Cybersecurity are alsowelcome to apply.

 The successful candidate will develop and teachundergraduate and graduate courses in their discipline, will possess a solidpublication record, and be expected to develop or continue to develop a strongresearch group with externally funded research program in Cybersecurity. 

 The CS Department is an NSA/DHS designated NationalCenter of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education. We are comprised of21 full-time faculty - including two NSF career winners - 600 undergraduates,100 masters and 75 students in two PhD programs---one in Computer Science andthe other in Cybersecurity. In 2018-19, we averaged $275K in funding per tenuretrack faculty member and we currently have active NSF CyberCorps Scholarshipfor Service (SFS) and DoD Cyber Scholarship Program (CySP) grants.

 The 9-month salary range for this position is$91,000-$96,000.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

1) Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related area. Ph.D. mustbe conferred by date of appointment (8/17/2020).

 2) At least 4 months teaching experience in anacademic setting as a teaching assistant, instructor of record or the equivalent.
