Job Summary/Basic Function

The Temporary Evening & Weekend Retail Specialist will work 40 hours per week and will be responsible for managing student workers and assisting with various projects at The M Store. The M Store is the campus hub for student course materials, document/mail, convenience market and Maryville’s merchandise and retail center.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Supervising and leading work study students during night and weekend shifts
•Managing inventory (i.e. ordering, checking in and quality control)
•Creating the department schedule and handling schedule conflicts
•Managing “pop-up” booths at campus events
•Leading the Big Red M Box Project including overseeing the committee, attending meetings with Go Saints, assembling and distribution of boxes
•Working with Course Material Specialist to help students troubleshoot issues related to digital course materials
•Assembling art supplies and nursing kits
•Assisting with other projects, as necessary

This is a temporary position and as such is not benefit eligible. The payrate is $14/hour.

Minimum Qualifications

•Excellent customer service skills
•Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
•Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
•Demonstrated leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience supervising university student employees
•Experience in a customer service environment

Physical Demands

•Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

Work Hours

•Must be available to work 10am-7pm during the week and 10am-6pm on weekends
•May include some holidays
