LSC-Houston North Fairbanks is located at Highway 290 and West Little York Road, near the Sam Houston Tollway. The Fairbanks location provides a variety of services to students including advising, registration, counseling, and tutoring. Academic programs include basic transfer courses, developmental studies, and English for Speakers of Other Languages.

Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Manager of Admissions and Enrollment manages the maintenance, security, accuracy, preservation and disposition of system-wide student records in compliance with company policy and various external regulatory bodies and ensure data integrity of student records by identifying issues and implementing improved infrastructure and/or training as needed; furnishes support for system-wide admissions and enrollment services; oversees technical processes supporting the online application for admissions and external data loads for test scores, transcripts, and vaccination records.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Oversee day-to-day operations of Admissions and Enrollment Department by developing, implementing and managing procedures, best practices, tools, and documents for Admissions and Enrollment staff to provide a high-level support of department processesHire, train, supervise and evaluate performance of full- and part-time Admissions and Enrollment staff to ensure efficient and effective use of application/system by providing regular and on- demand training opportunitiesProvide project management and supervision, directing and integrating the work of analysts and other office personnel for projects for Admissions and Enrollment and Office of CompletionServe as a resource and subject matter expert to faculty, staff, administrators and students on topics relating to Admissions and Enrollment; answer questions and resolve issues sent to the Student Records email boxCoordinate with a variety of departments to carry out and implement regulatory changesCoordinate the review and testing of PeopleSoft updates and resolutions including the development of testing plansFulfill third-party requests including subpoenas for student recordsCollaborate with other departments to solve problem and resolve issues for studentsConduct research necessary to determining validity/eligibility of non-traditional high school credentialsMonitor data on a weekly basis to ensure compliance and effectiveness of processesMaintain tasks, projects and activities and resolve issues in the IT system of record (S-NOW)Manage technological processes such as prospect data loads, test score loads (TSI, ACT, SAT), and online applications (LOLA)Oversee assignment and release of Bacterial Meningitis service indicatorsEnter and process Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit such as military credit as well as test credit such as AP, CLEP, SAT, ACT, etc.Serve on ARC committee

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as classrooms, offices, meeting and training rooms, and libraries, College-owned vehicles. This requires use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipmentInterface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the positionWork is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degreeDirectly related work experience in higher education Salary

Hiring Salary is $52,430.
