Job Description Summary

Work at the Ontario City Library helping the library achieve their mission to strengthen our community by creating and supporting lifelong, reading, learning and enjoyment.

This position has a starting pay of $14.00 per hour.

Specific Duties

-Help with setup and use of Lightspeed equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutter, virtual reality devices and their software programs.
-Ability to work with Adobe Photoshop, AutoDesk, iMovie, Garage-band and similar Windows and IOS type software and instruct others in their use. Knowledge of basic coding is a plus.
-Assist Lightspeed staff with general room operations including customer check-in and attendance, equipment inventory, gathering statistics, room organization and cleanup.

-Ability to pass a fingerprint review (background check).

Preferred Qualifications

-Customer service experience.
-Experience with 3D printers and scanners, laser cutters, robotics, coding and sewing machines.
-Adept with computers and technology

Benefits Summary

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
