We are currently accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure-track assistant professor position at Illinois State University Mennonite College of Nursing.

Primary Responsibilities:
~ Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs
~ Engage in a program of research, including pursuit of research funding, data-based publications, and national/international professional presentations
~ Advise and mentor students
~ Contribute to faculty governance

Required Qualifications Candidates must possess the following:

1. Doctorate (PhD or DNP), in nursing or related field (Master's in Nursing required if doctorate not in nursing)
2. Proven potential for scholarly productivity
3. Passion for student centered teaching and learning
4. Licensed (prior to start date) Registered Nurse in Illinois
5. A successful criminal background screening and negative drug screening (conducted at final candidacy)
6. For teaching positions, state law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
Desired Qualifications: We seek candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

1. Adult Health, Medical/Surgical Nursing
2. Grant writing and funding experience
3. Publication and presentation experience
4. Teaching experience

Hiring Rate/Range Salary and initial appointment are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
