Description:

The Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is recruiting for two full-time ARNP/PA positions at the rank of Teaching Associate. Appointments as Teaching Associate are normally structured per University guidelines as a 12 month term, followed by reappointment on an annual basis. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will be incorporated into the inpatient team service caring for Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, and Intestine, transplant patients, as well as Intestinal failure, and patients with other surgical procedures related to their organ specific pathology or failure; this will be together with the core multidisciplinary team members. In addition, it is expected that the ARNP/PA will participate in kidney or liver transplant clinics and provide back-up coverage for kidney or liver transplant inpatient admissions. The anticipated start date for this position is November 1, 2019.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Nationally certified ARNP/PA with DEA
  • Current and valid state licensure as an ARNP or PA in Washington State
