The National Mental Health Innovation Center has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Program Manager of Mental Health Technology position.

Position Emphasis:The National Mental Health Innovation Center (NMHIC) purpose is to find, develop and put into practice big new ideas to prevent, treat and change the way people think about mental illness.
This Program Manager of Mental Health Technology position is responsible for creating and testing the functionality of technology-driven mental health content for utilization within the NMHIC Tech Innovation Network (TIN). This position requires the ability to establish and maintain high levels of engagement and serve as liaison with industry partners related to tech-driven products to support mental health. The Program Manager will also engage with the NMHIC Deputy Director in building and managing the Center’s Tech Innovation Network, which includes mental health clinics and community partners. This candidate will assist with research/evaluation efforts related to tech products and develop strategies for marketing and communications trends in technology and mental health. The Program Manager will participate within NMHIC as an integral member of a fast paced, team oriented, creative, open office, start-up environment.

- Creating technology driven mental health content, as well as testing the functionality and usability of that content, to assess, diagnose and treat behavioral mental and emotional conditions
- Creation and testing of innovative training and treatment initiatives for mental health clinics and community partner
- Assist the Deputy Director in growing and managing the Center’s Tech Innovation Network
- Serve as liaison with industry partners related to tech-driven products to support mental health/health needs across a broad spectrum (e.g., from prevention and peer-oriented digital resources and tools to targeted digital supports and interventions for people living with more serious mental health issues or chronic health problems)
- Develop strategies for marketing and communications trends in the technology and mental health arena, (e.g., assist in scanning, tracking, analyzing and writing for NMHIC partners and across multiple media channels and publications)
- Assist with research/evaluation efforts related to tech products

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in a mental health or public health focused program (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Health Administration, etc.)
- 3-5 years of experience managing partner relationships and project/client management
- Experience working with or knowledge of the tech industry generally or related to digital product development and implementation
- Experience and/or knowledge with mental health systems (e.g., treatment, administrative, operational, workflow, etc.)
- Experience developing and implementing mental health/health training curricula
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse, interdisciplinary range of people and organizations
- Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations (e.g., experience or knowledge of a start-up work environment)
